How to Set Any Picture as a Folder Icon in Windows

In this article we going to see "How to set any picture as Folder icon".

1) You can't directly set PNG and JPEG as folder icon. You need to convert it to .bmp format. For converting you can use windows paint application.

2) Open picture with paint application. Go to file, now choose save as, now choose the bmp format, give name to the file, click save button. 

3) Right click on the folder you want to change icon for.

4) click on "Properties", Now click the "Customize" tab. Now choose change icon button. Click browse button. Go to where the .bmp file saved. 

File name right side by default it's selected the icon file, you should change it to the "All files" to display all files in that folder.

5) Now you can see the converted picture. Choose it, then click open, Now click "Apply" then save.

By this way you can set any picture as folder icon.
